We love welcoming visitors to Edinburgh
Travel the green way
We like the fact we are a walking company - the greenest way to see our city! We are located in the heart of the Old Town and are very easy to reach by public transport from all areas of Edinburgh. Our transport system throughout Scotland is reliable, fast and green and we're very pleased to help you use it.
Here are some recommendations on how you can meet us at the Mercat Cross.
Your Journey - Foot, Bike, Bus and EV Car
There are plenty of green ways to travel to us.
The nearest bike rack is West Parliament Square, next to the National Library of Scotland on George IV Bridge and 3mins walk from the Mercat Cross. Edinburgh Cycle Streets is a great tool to plan your visit on bike too.
Edinburgh has superb public transport with Lothian Buses ravelling within 5min walk of the Mercat Cross, bus stops are on South Bridge or George IV Bridge.
If you're driving an electric car, you can see where the nearest EV charging points are here with this interactive map.
Your Car
The Royal Mile is enjoyed by pedestrians walking and is not open to vehicles. There is some onstreet parking nearby and multi-story carparks at Holyrood Road.
