Mercat Tours recognises that we have an impact on the environment - and that we reduce this impact and indeed even act to improve the quality of the environment when we conduct our business in a responsible, considerate and thoughtful manner.

Mercat Tours has two environmental goals -

• To reduce our negative impact on the environment
• To work actively to improve the environment

Our commitment, then, is -

• To promote the reduction, re-use and recycling of waste materials so that we conserve resources and there is less waste to be disposed
• To ensure we use energy and water efficiently

In order to achieve our goals Mercat Tours will -

• Meet all legislative requirements
• Strive to prevent pollution
• Provide appropriate training to all our staff
• Continuously monitor our activities and policy
• Set targets to reduce further the environmental impact of our activities
