What are the advantages of doing the tour as a private group?

• You have an exclusive guide
• You share the fun and the frights just among yourselves
• You can negotiate when you want the tour to start
• You can negotiate where your tour starts from
• You can negotiate the length of your tour - you might only have an hour to spare
• You can ask to finish near the next point in your journey - a pub, a restaurant
• You can choose to include the Vaults - or not if you're too scared!
• You can ask for 'extras' such as a jumper-ooter to really frighten your group

With a little prompt from yourself we will make your boss or the teacher the butt of some of our stories - and we have a very special surprise for the bride-to-be or her groom at the end of their tour! 

Mercat Tours offers most of its public tours to private groups - and is very busy meeting the demand.  However, because Haunted Underground Experience is based exclusively in our Blair St Vaults and because it lasts 1 hour there, it is difficult to accommodate a private booking for this tour in the evenings, especially in the summer season.

There is a minimum charge for a private tour based on 15 people.  If you are very keen to have a private tour but your numbers are lower than 15 you can still have your private tour - but you will be charged for the minimum 15 people.
