Vaults Vigil FAQ

The Vigil runs from midnight until 6.00am. Is this the ‘midnight’ of the actual date itself, or the ‘midnight’ beginning at the end of that day!

When we advertise a Vaults Vigil for ‘Friday 13th…’ we mean it begins at midnight at the close of Friday 13th. Technically the event is taking place in the wee small hours of Saturday 14th but you will gather to start the event on the Friday itself.

Can we leave when we want?

We assume when you sign up for a Vaults Vigil that you are signing up for the full six hours. However, if you become distressed at any time you must alert our staff who will accompany you back up onto the street. Once you leave the premises you will not be free to return.  Nor will you be entitled to a refund.

Can we use ouija boards or hold a séance during the Vigil?

The Vaults Vigil is about observing and recording. It is not about actively seeking to contact spirits. The supernatural is an erratic phenomenon and can cause extreme reactions in some. In the interests of participant safety, Mercat Tours does not permit the introduction of group séances and/or ouija boards.
