Do events have to have a ghostly theme?

Of course not. Our Scottish Storytelling Evening can focus on myths and legends if you prefer - or maybe romantic tales from Scotland's past if that suits the ambience of the occasion.

Are the events not quite complicated to run?

Our events are designed to take place in a variety of performing spaces - often dining rooms or drawing rooms - so we keep the technical demands to an absolute minimum. We have a technical specification for the events which lets you know very clearly what we will need. It can be as simple as an electric power point for a CD player or smoke machine.

What will the cast need?

Again we keep things simple - a changing room, preferably with a mirror, a safe place to keep their belongings - oh: and some sustenance if they are going to be on site for several hours. The hospitality specification sets out the cast's needs clearly.

Are the events very expensive?

You will be surprised at what value our events are. Generally the events are priced according to the number of cast involved so the Scottish Storytelling Evening is the least expensive and our murder mystery evening the most expensive. However, an event can cost as little as £5 per person dependent on the size of your group.

What about travel expenses?

Continuing with our principle of keeping things simple we price our events on a sliding scale dependent on your time/distance from our Edinburgh base.

The idea of an historically themed event is a great one. Can we have one personalised to us?

One of our most successful events was An Evening of Fantasy and Folklore which we created for The Roxburgh Hotel and Golf Resort outside of Kelso last Hogmanay. The hotel wanted us to provide a gala evening for guests which would indeed engage, enthral and entertain as all our events do. But it also had to help guests bond at the beginning of their three-day residency. Inspired by the hotel's own history and legends and folklore of the Scottish Borders we crafted an event which fully met its brief.

If you would like us to create a themed event especially for you do get in touch in plenty of time to allow us to research, script, costume and rehearse. There is a charge for new product development - but then the event is there for you to use as often as you like.
