Accreditations
We’re always looking for ways to improve across the whole Mercat experience. From first welcome to final farewell, there’s a team of dedicated people making sure that everything works smoothly, demonstrated through our accreditations below:
Proud to be part of Fair Tax accreditation scheme

Tax contributions are a crucial part of the positive social and economic impact made by businesses! The Fair Tax Mark accreditation scheme encourages and recognises organisations that pay the right amount of corporation tax at the right time and in the right place.

Good Business Charter Accreditation
The Good Business Charter (GBC) is an independent certification that recognises responsible business behaviour across ten key components. These components ensure that businesses operate with integrity, fairness and respect for employees, customers, suppliers and the environment. By championing responsible business practices, we can encourage other organisations to do the same, benefiting both people and the planet.
Accredited Living Wage Employer
We are an accredited Living Wage Employer, paying our team above the Real Living Wage since 2016. Employers choose to pay the Real Living Wage on a voluntary basis. The rates apply to all workers over 18 – in recognition that young people face the same living costs as everyone else.

Accredited Living Hours Employer
The Living Hours standard asks employers to provide the right to decent notice periods for shifts, with guaranteed payment if shifts are cancelled within this notice period; the right to a contract that reflects accurate hours worked; and a guaranteed minimum of 16 hours a week. In other words: we’re dedicated to secure, flexible and permanent contracts!
Developing the Young Workforce Pledge
